Waikato River Authority Funding Round Dates 2026
The Waikato River Authority 2026 funding round will open on Tuesday, 2 June 2026 and close on Monday, 27 July 2026.
Up to $6 million will be made available for restoration projects in the Waikato catchment that meet the criteria and restoration priorities set out in the Waikato River Authority Funding Strategy for 2026.
All applications must be submitted through our online SmartyGrants portal, which will be available on the Authority’s website from 2 June 2026.
More information about this year’s funding round will be shared on the WRA website in May.
